(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? We got our first chickens in 2019.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 6 hens, 1 rooster (16 assorted egg layer chicks coming at end of month with a couple dozen meat chickens)
(3) What breeds do you have? Dark Brahma, Ameraucana, Welsummer, and other assorted egg layers
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Watching them run. Fresh eggs! My Ameraucana is the best chicken in the world. I don't particularly care for birds, but I love her.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? reading, raising other animals, coin collecting
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. 41 cows, 2 great pyrenees dogs, 10 cats, husband all living on a farm in the middle of nowhere...
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
just doing general searches for chicken knowledge online. A couple of years. I need help with my chicken trying to hatch eggs!!!! See my forum post for that issue!!!
