Cjickens "puffed up" in coop--Please help

The temps at night have been dipping into the 20s here. I notice that all my chickens are sitting on the perches all puffed up--feathers our away from body, they look like little fur balls. Is this normal?

yes.....they fluff their feathers to stay warm!!

If it hasn't been raining alot and you don't think they could have cocci, then it is probably just the cold weather. My birds are out and about not huddling. Only some of the smaller ones are puffy.

Hey Pips and Peep, I live in Tri Cities, no rain here LOL. I have 10 beautiful wooded acres in Deer Park. Love your area but it does get cold!
