Clark- Proud Papa! **PHOTOS**

So Claudia went broody and took over one of the Muscovey nests. Clark was unable to breed her so she sat on other eggs. Claudia eventually beat the duck off her nest and hatched an ameraucana chick. She left the nest soon and the duck eggs were pipping. The cold duck eggs were given to broody hens and they hatched.

Lot of soap opera going on around the farm...

So with Claudia off the nest I was surprised to see the roll that Clark assumed, a very attentive and protective father to his chick and to his mate. Here are some photos.

The family is still a unit 5 days after hatching.

Yep, Blue Seal is locally made so I use it. I feed turkey pellets to all of my poultry except the chicks get medicated starter.
