thanks so much for everyone's replies! I really appreciate it!

I am keeping these two, they have become part of our family and my younger daughter won;t let anything bad happen to them anyway

I still have a dilemma with building the permanent coop though if anyone has any free plan sites they know of? or ideas would be great!

I am doing up a temporary pen/pallet house this weekend for now. But i would love a nice shed type house and big yard because I will apparently need to get my hens soon.

I saw 'star plates' for making a dome like building. I am thinking I will make my next coop using them. Strombergs sells them, and if you search BYC for star plates you can see what a good sized one looks like. I think I will stick with 4' lengths for the "beams". Should give me about 25 sq ft interior, which right now I get with the 4'x6' rectangle coop. Something different and maybe easier. I need to get a bachelors house made soon, especially if I get a good hatch.

I know it takes a lot of research, but if you pour over the Coop Designs section, you may find what you need with enough explanation to copy off of it. That's what we did. Lots of folks show a step by step process of what they went through in building their coops.

I love the first picture. That bird in the front is giving you serious stink eye

that one is "Bugglet" the dominant one.

He (since i now know they are both roo's) is funny though and loves attention. the little one is "Chuck", he is more skittish.
