I have a couple 5 month old buff orphingtons one of them seems to be a rooster (which i cant have) he/she has bigger crown and gobblers seems the tail feathers are getting longer then the other buff, but my question is the last couple of days its been fluffing up its feather when you go near it and yesterday it jumped up and scrathed my son and then later tried to get my wife (very frisky little guy/girl) so is the jumping up scrathing thing a male dominent behavior or does it go both ways!

Definately sounds like agression to me. At that young age, I would deter it immediatly. You don't want him behaving badly when he's full grown.

I believe both. I have had an ill-tempered hen jump on my leg before and leave a peck and a scratch. A push and a loud "no" is what I did. She didn't do it often but when she did, that was my reaction.
You'll have to ask some roo owners how to deter a roo. With being bigger and sometimes more aggresive than females, a harder correction might be in order. Good luck!!!
