Clean up after slaughtering your chickens

Feet are dried and fed as dog treats.
Lucky dogs, unless feet cause mischief like giving them chicken bones do. I will try the soup pot when I have some. I hear that the feet are a great addition to a hearty stock.

Meat = Human consumption.
Giblets = Human consumption.
Bones = Boiled for broth, then dried/baked & made into bonemeal for the garden.
Blood = Human consumption or bloodmeal.
Feet = Human consumption/buried.
Entrails & head = Buried deep or composted.
Feathers = Pristine feathers for crafts, others into feathermeal for gardening.

I try to not waste anything. I feel it's my duty to utilize every part of the bird, even if I can't eat it - it will be used to improve the growth of our plants.

Raw chicken bones are supposed to be fine for dogs. It's when they've been cooked that they splinter, so I'm told. I got that from a lady that has a dog on a raw diet. Research first though.
