Hello there and welcome to BYC!

You can run some warm water over him to get the gunk off. Towel dry him well. Gently. But make SURE to blow dry him off really well so he dries and doesn't chill. Get him back to the brooder lamp as soon as you can. You can blow dry him while he is under the lamp.

If you are still having issues with the little guy, you can post questions on this in our Raising Chicks section....

Good luck with the little baby and welcome to our flock!

Thank you all so much for the advice my little chicky above is fluffy now thanks to you guys.

Ok now I have another question I know chicks can easily breath in water but when I watch her drink she all of a sudden drops and opens her mouth widely a couple time is this normal or I'd she choking im worried
and now at random times she starts screaming and jumping around like crazy but I cant figure out why is it because she's the only one that hatched?
