How does everyone clean their duck and chicken eating eggs? I don't want to affect the quality.

I wash mine with soap and warm water if there is poop or bedding stuck to them. I know people say it takes of the eggs protective shield, but I would rather eat an egg without as much protection from bacteria than chicken poop.

My family and I usually eat them a day or two after they are laid anyway.

We use just cool water and a scrubber. if they are really dirty, like yolk from a broken egg, we let them soak a few minutes in water

ETA: We dont have duck eggs yet, this is the chicken eggs

I don't have any ducks but I do have chickens.
How I clean my eggs: I get a dish rag, and get it wet with warm water and just wash the eggs. It works pretty good. And if they're are really dirty and I can't get it off with the rag, then I soak the eggs in a bowl of warm water for awhile then wash them.
