In the past, I have always cleaned my Sportman with 10% bleach solution. I really hate using the bleach and was trying to think of an alternitive method. Last night I was in my basement and saw our wallpaper removal steamer sitting there. Then the light bulb lit up. I needed to give my bator it's end of season cleaning. I cleaned it out good with warm water and a sponge. When I was finished, I fired up the steamer and gave the whole interior a good steaming. I would think this would take care of any bacteria/germs that may have been in there.

Do you think this is an adequate way to disinfect the interior of a bator?

After each hatch, I use Oxine which is what I use to clean my pens with also. I just let it air out outside for a couple of days before starting a new clutch of eggs!
