Your chickens must be young because my chickens (15 months) have a lot more and much bigger poops than yours.

We also use sand in our coop and run. So easy to clean out.

Isn't sand AWESOME!!!!

I love the baskets, I was using a scoop made for lizard habitats. But your method is much better! I see I will be going to get a similar basket today!!!!

Great video thanks for sharing. I also use sand and love it but not in my hen house. I've been using rice hulls. I was curious how you clean your run? Looks like it is sand too.

Agrees...my first thought when watching the video was...baby pullet poop.

Basket is a great idea...I might even have one around...been using a kitty poop scoop and this morning thought..this is way too small.

My six hens produce a whole lot more poop per day than that. I really like the sweet PDZ but it is hard to manage when the hens have runny poops.

Glad I saw this, I was using a homemade scoop out of a half gal milk jug.
Went to the store last night and bought a basket, I used it today to clean and it works Great !!!

This is 7:50 video of me cleaning my coop. This is a non-stop video to show how I can thoroughly clean my coop in less then 10 minutes. I bought a few mesh baskets from the office supply store. These work great because they are bigger then screen but smaller then 1/4" hardware cloth. At first I was using the hardware cloth but a lot of poop was getting thru. A few months ago before I started, one of my big concerns was, how long it was going to take to clean on a daily basis. Well now after two weeks I can say cleaning is a breeze. I let it go 3 days and it wasn't too bad at all. ENJOY ...

How deep is the poop board itself ? Sweet pdz and sand or just sand or just sweet pdz ?
