Cleaning sand in a run

Does anyone out there have a favorite tool for cleaning the chicken dooders out of the sand in a run? I'm wondering how other folks rake or clean their sanded runs.

I use a pooper scooper.

I use an old colander for sifting and a child's toy rake to scoop it in with. Works for me.

I'm using a pooper scooper "shovel" and a small rake. If it picks up too much sand, you could pour the rakings through a screen to save the sand.
