cleaning & saving duck feathers & down -- help!

I searched on this & came up with nothing -- seems like there should be a post on here somewhere, but I couldn't find it. I'm sure I'm not the only person who has wanted to save & use the beautiful feathers & down from ducks.

Anyone know what I do to clean & sanitize the feathers & down?

Hi, the only thing I could find sounds like you put the feathers in a cloth bag then wash and dry like you would clothes. This is a great question I would like to have answered also.

I save all my macaws and some chicken feathers. Usually they are pretty clean when I gather them but you can wash them in warm soapy water and let sun dry or blow dry.
