cleaning skulls

degreasing skulls/bones is always good too, its similar to maceration but its to get the grease out of the bones. The warmer the water the faster the process is and I suggest using dawn soap since its "tough on grease but gentle on everything else" so far its cleaned my doe skull up a good bit

For a deer, it will work wonders if you can heat it to 120 degrees. Seems to be the sweet spot for moving the grease and oils out. Also add a couple of cups of straight ammonia. Works even better.

Hey! I have two gar skulls I was wondering if anyone has advise on preparing? I get pics tomorrow
Thanks!
