Cleaning under roost

i use DE on the floor and a small layer of straw, every other day, just take a shovel and scrape on each side of the roost, and then put a layer of straw again. most of the pooh is concentrated there, so the rest of the coop can go for a month without cleaning.

When I say it takes ten seconds, I mean that from picking up the bucket to walk into the pen, to walking out of the pen, takes LITERALLY ten seconds (one...two...three...etc)

You're just snowplowing the stuff off into a bucket as you walk along. I should get DH to take some pics so I can explain this better.

Not to say everyone has to do it, of course, but don't knock it unless you've TRIED it
