So I've gotten two eggs by the same chicken that look like this. She just started laying, and this was the result of her first two eggs. I know there is a meat spot in there, but why is the yolk clear?? Anyone have any idea?

Wind egg or fairy egg. No yolk was released. The bit of oviduct was the likely catalyst for that egg. Normally the egg is formed around the released yolk. Sometimes an egg will get formed around a meat spot instead.

Ahh, thank you! The egg was pretty small, and when I opened it I was surprised to see another egg like this. Thank you for your insight!

Odd to have the first 2 eggs do that.....hope she lets loose a real yolk on her next one.
How old and what breed is she?

She's about 7 months old. Got her the end of April with the others. She's a Rhode Island Red. She laid a 3rd egg but I haven't opened it yet.

I too have a young bantam breed that lays only clear yolks. Ive gotten 3 or 4 so far. I wouldnt know there was a yolk at all if it werent for the perfect yolk shape.

Can a chick form and develop in her eggs?
