Hello! First time posting and I hope I’m doing it correctly. My almost 2 year old Rhode Island Red hen has me worried. I thought she started molting about 5 days ago, but now has been presenting other symptoms the last 2-3 days that make me think she is ill.

She does have a little bit of bumble foot on her one foot, but it isn’t too bad and isn’t showing signs of infection. What has me worried is instead of going to the perch the last two nights I found her in the nesting box. She is not a broody girl and one of our head chickens so this is very off behavior. Yesterday I was getting them in from free ranging and when I picked her up to carry her to the coop she was falling asleep. She has continued to act lethargic the last couple of days. She tried to forage for a while and now has been resting under a bush.
What really set me off today is she has been having clear watery poop.
I don’t see any other issues when I looked her over. I’m going to check her crop tonight to see if she is eating and then in the morning.

I have 10 hens and I actually have been suspect that she doesn’t lay eggs and has been for who knows how long. She is the only one I don’t see laying. None of my other hens are presenting symptoms.

thank you so much in advance. Not Many resources other than getting a necropsy. Ideally would like her to have a chance to recover. I’m also going to check for lice/mites.

Update: checked her for mites and lice, did not see any signs of either. Her crop seems full as though she is eating, but she wouldn’t take any treats from me tonight which is unusual and I have only seen her drink water.
