I don’t have a vet to take my chicken to around here. I need help figuring out what is wrong with my hen. She is my favorite and such a sweet girl.

A few days ago she started laying around. It’s been raining a lot so I figured it was respiratory. I started her on Tylan three days ago. She is making a ticking noise, like the sound of a heart beat but with a watery sound. She is moving and eating but lays down and breaths heavy. Her poop is very white and pasty. I will add pictures.

She isn’t laying right now, I thought she stopped because my other Brahma is molting and figured she is starting?

I have her seperated and in the house except to get the pictures of her. Thank you! ♥️

It looks like she has some worms in the picture in post 2. What is your location? If you are in the US, you can get SafeGuard Liquid Goat Wormer, shake it very well, and give her 1.5 to 2 ml orally (0.25 ml per pound) orally, and repeat daily for a total of 5 days. The white paste is urates or kidney waste, and could mean that she is not drinking well, but it is normal in droppings. If she is beginning to molt, she may be feeling poorly. See that she is eating some wet chicken feed made fresh, and a little scrambled or cooked egg. I put out multiple water pans in shaded areas, and a couple of different feeders so that everyone can get it. Here is the goat wormer:

Thank you so much for replying. I will try the wormer and make sure she is drinking. I made her scrambled eggs and she ate some of it. I’m in West Virginia. It has been very hot.
