Clearance Bin Find

I found half a dozen of these gorgeous chicks, as well as a few black copper marans, in the clearance bins at Rural King (the "oh, crap they're flying now, sell them quick" bin), so unfortunately nobody knew what they were. They have feathered feet and big attitudes.

What do you think?
Buff Brahma.

I have a dark brahma mix that looks like her (comb-wise) and she is a girl so...
That doesn't mean males don't take longer to develop. In order to learn how to accurately sex a breed, you need to watch the development rates of both sexes. I raised 12 straight-run Brahmas up of many varieties. I would consider myself pretty decent at sexing and I wasn't sure on some of mine until closer to eight weeks. This bird is way too young at 5-6 weeks old. Just out of curiosity, what sex would you say these Brahmas were given that they're in this age range (same as OP's bird)? ;)

I am going to go with male for the second and first is female.
Both are cockerels. At this age both genders look practically identical (other than some fast maturers and sexually dimorphic varieties). Almost all chicks will look like pullets. This is why waiting until they're eight weeks old is the only way to determine gender, anything before is guesswork :) That's not saying the OP's bird isn't a pullet, it's just not going to be visible at this age!
