These are my two that i’m questioning. The first is an Easter egger. The second an Ameraucana. They are approximately 6 weeks old.

First is a boy and the second is a girl!
I agree that the second is an Easter Egger. People and hatcheries will sell Easter Eggers as Americauna/Americana to make you think you're getting the real thing, but you're not.

What features are you looking at that have you saying the first is boy? I’m trying to learn!

The comb is quite red and big, and also the uneven splotchy color pattern. Uneven splotchy patterns don't apply for all breeds, but for Easter Eggers that's one sign of a male.

I agree. First one is an EE cockerel. Uneven splotchy coloring and red comb. The comb is also wider than is typical for this age for pullets.

Your second one has female specific coloring.

I’ll wait a few more weeks to be certain. Kinda of a bummer if it is a roo. We aren’t supposed to have roos where we live. And this one is one’s personality has been of the favorites ever since they were a week old! Maybe we can hide him as in indoorcat if he stays as docile and cuddly as he currently is. LOL
