Looking for a country home with roaming privileges for a beautiful, friendly bantie rooster, 14 weeks old. He is not just a pretty face either -- he's been clicker training for several weeks and is quite the smarty-featherpants. He is my favorite, and he and my two girls are inseparable, so it's going to be very sad to see him go. But we are in city limits....

As part of the deal, I am offering clicker training lessons for the new owner (or 4-H club, neighborhood group, etc.) It is a really fun thing to do with these guys (and gals) and helps ensure they keep their good pet qualities. You can train them to do fun tricks, jump up on a perch for handling, go in their coop, etc. And the skills are transferable to any other animal (even spouses!) In fact, professional trainers often work with chickens to hone their skills. It would also be quite useful for anyone wanting to show their animals, and very fun for kids too.

Many thanks if you can help.

(My clicker training background until now has been with parrots. I have given talks and demos about/with my flight trained African Grey Parrot to southern California parrot owner and rescue groups, as well as to the International Association of Avian Trainers & Educators (IAATE). See my grey girl's web site for a lot more info and links on the subject: Carly Lu's Flight Blog.)
