My chicks, now about 6 weeks old, are flying about the run, roosting on the water can, and the shelter roof I built for them (they're supposed to go under the roof, not sit on it!). Do you clip your bird's wing feathers?

I clip all of my birds' wings (you only clip the flight feathers on one wing on each bird), because it is a matter of safety. Mine are in a 25'x 35' 6-ft tall enclosure, and I lost one EE pullet who flew out and was eaten by my dogs. I also almost lost my Ameraucana rooster the same way, but luckily I was outside when he flew the coop. Even with a clipped wing, they can still hop up on things 2-3 ft tall. Mine hop up to the nests, which are about 30" high.

Yes I do I don't really have a problem with them flying out but I still do it so I don't have to worry if they ever do want to escape.
