Clipping game chicken hens wings

Has anyone clipped a game chicken hens wings? Will it stop them from flying into tree or are they too good flyers for it to matter. Will she still be safe/able to fly to the 3 1/2 tall perch I raised for her in the coop?

I've never clipped one of our chickens or ducks, but have done our macaw parrots a few times. We only do one wing of each.

Three and a half feet might be questionable. They still have flight, just can't get much air when one wing is missing half the feathers.
