I have read that you can clip their wings like the chickens. Do any of you do that? I'm afraid that they will fly over the fence or up on the coop once they get older and go visit the neighbors. What are your thoughts?

I have one chicken that hops the 6 foot fence into the garden daily as it is. And my Mama hen hops the neighbor's fence when she isn't broody. We live on a small suburban lot, so I don't want to annoy the neighbors.

I clip mine all the time... clip them just like the chickens...

Are you going to free range them once they get older? If so I wouldn't clip their wings because then they couldn't fly away from danger!

But if you're going to keep them penned up it's okay!

I agree, if you are free ranging them don't clip their wings, though whenever 'something' is after my guineas, they all seem to try and outrun it rather than take flight, but I wouldn't want them to not have that option. If they are in a pen all the time though, it wouldn't hurt to clip their wings like you would with any other bird.
