I need to trim my chickens wings because they are flying over the fence. If I do this will they still be able to get up on their roost? It's only 2-3 feet high. I read you only trim one wing and this will make them unbalanced enough to not fly, but should I trim both so they can fly up to the roost and not hurt themselves? Thanks!

Do you trim one wing or both?
Trim both wings. Trimming one wing does not "knock them off balance". The majority of the propulsion they attain comes from their jump.
Either provide an intermediate roost for them to use to access their night time roosts or build a ramp. I have a ramp for my clipped wing flock.
