clipping wings still no luck

I have a newly made pond and garden
my chickens have a HUGE pen and yard but one of the adults and both chicks think its fun to get out and dig up my plants
I cant fix the fence no money
I have clipped their wings and they still fly over
im aftaid to clop further
ughhhh im aggervated

I hear ya. Mine have a huge yard to roam in but they insist on flying over the 4 foot fence and wandering down the driveway. I clipped their wings too and it didn't help. My neighbor told me today that they like to roost on the garden fence. Great...

Did you clip both wings, or just one?

You only clip one wing so it troughs them off balance.

There is your problem they can still fly then just not as high or fast but can still do pretty good how far did you cut the feathers back you might try trimming the one wing a little more and see if that can help you but do not go too far

Try some ankle weights.

Not to hijack the post

But I left the big wing tip feathers and cut the inside feathers back just like I used to with my parrot. Thought this would stop them from getting height but it didn't and I was afraid to cut too far.
