Greetings Folks,

I have 9 call ducks that I have had since they were 3 days old. They are 4 weeks old now and are getting adult feathers. I am sure I have time, but can anyone advise on how to clip wings to prevent flying? These ducks will be used for herding.

Thanks!

Welcome to BYC,

Very interesting never heard of using Calls to train dogs for herding.

You have muscovies?

*had* they were too much, they always broke in with the chickens and well, had a go at them.
I saw the rooster saturated one day and then we decided they had to go. They were a good laugh though. I would of put them in my giant chicken pen but I use that for selling rare breeds at the beginning of summer. Everything else is free range
