Clipping Wings

I had to clip my Calls for fear they'd fly too far off and get lost, or land on the road and get creamed. Several times they took off and flew in syncronized V formation o'er the valley while I panicked below. So I clipped 4 out of 6, keeping the wings on the littlest girls. That worked well, but it was hysterical watching the drakes leap off the ramp like Jemima and Buttercup did only to fall face first and do several tumbles, while Jemima and Buttercup gently floated down into the kiddie pool.

Ugh I know what you mean, there’s scars on my Arms to prove it :hmm
We held ours but they can really hurt you if you can’t get them under control quickly. We cut both sides since that us what the video said. They cannot fly, but not from lack of trying. They were perching in our roof and on top of our cars

I clip both because it looks better. I straddle them between both knees then pull out the wing to clip. I’ve been doing this since 2004 it gets easy as the years roll by. lol
My husband held them and I clipped. Two of the girls who are smaller are still able to fly
