Clipping wings?

Does it do any good on a chicken??

Keep them from going over a fence or up in trees or in neighbors yards??

I clip mine only once when they are young till they get too heavy to fly.

I spreed one wing and cut the outer most five flight feathers in half. When the bird tries to fly it throws them off balance enough that they cant clear the fence. But can still fly up to the roost.

I found that a good, small pair of pruners works better than scissors.
