clipping wings

Hello,

I'm a new mom to two hens. I didn't expect them to be such good flyers. One of them is getting up on the "high" fence. I am so worried of her getting lost/out/killed. Is clipping her wings safe? Any ideas people?

Clipping doesn't hurt them. Usually you want to only clip one wing as it will set them off-balance. Usually that's enough to prevent any unauthorized 'adventures'
