clocking duck

hi , a duck has made a nest with eggs in it outside, she only sits on it for a couple of hours during day is this normal, will she start sitting on them longer soon.

She is probably still laying and accumulating eggs, not incubating them yet. I guess the other possibility is if the outside temperature is so warm that she doesn't need to sit on them, and can take longer breaks. Is she returning at night and sitting through the night?

This is a wild duck, right? Best to just leave it alone, no matter what happens.
