Clogged vent Vs Umbilical Cord!

I thought one of my 2 day old chicks had a clogged vent. After starting to clean it with warn water and pull at it a bit, i stopped. I googled more and am now thinking it's the umbilical cord. I didn't pull it off but the chick did seem uncomfortable a couple times with me messing with it. Do I need to worry? Will she die?

I know its not the best pic. I was going around what I thought the poop was with a wet q-tip and was trying to shift it. I did not pull anything out but am so worried.
