Yeah we get those things to for the other 6 months of the year. Weather in Saskatchewan ..... you're either freezing your buns off or getting eaten alive by mosquitoes .... never a dull moment lol

You scored on that one!

I got my seeds a week ago. My dad lives with us and has advance Alzheimer's disease. It turns out he was totally intrigued by the different sizes and designs of the little envelopes. He confiscated all them right away

I wanted to thank everyone for my seeds, but it took a while to get them back from him.

He still have my very favorite seed packet. I wanted to plant it last weekend and I searched and searched and searched and for the life of me, I can not find what that man did with them. So whoever sent the Lemon Basil THANK YOU and I will plant those as soon as I can find them.

I managed to get the rest of my seeds back. This is so funny because the man does not like gardening.

My regular seeds sit in the house in a tool box. He treats the seeds like they are the black plague when I spread them on the floor to figure out what I still need to plant.

Yet, he ran off with all the seed packets from my wonderful friends on BYC.

I can't wait to try everything - -

This fall I will plant the Red Leprechan lettuce . It is already too hot to plant it here.
The chamomille I think I can plant in our heat. I am thinking about planting it in our front flower island. Do you know how much water it prefers?

The money plant - OMG, I haven't seen that since I was a little kid. I can't wait to grow it and let my kids experience growing "money"

The passion vine - - - is that safe to grow on the chicken coop.

The Giant pumpkin - - I am gonna have to find a spot for that BAD BOY. . .

A really BIG SPOT. Maybe, my next garden plot will be a sunflower ( my Dd's favorite) and pumpkin patch. I think Ds will love growing the pumpkin.

The P. of peppers. . . . We plant peppers every year and try new varieties each year. We love them HOT and SWEET.
Any idea if these are mix or all hot or all sweet ? ?

I can not thank anyone individually - - - I had to take my tool box of seeds and hide it now that I put these little "decorated" packets in them

The man carried the seeds in his pocket for a week like they were the most valuable papers in the world.

I kept say "Dad, you gonna plant some seeds today? "

I forgot to post that my seeds came last week. I sure got a lot more than I sent in! And I did send out a couple of lemon basil packs so maybe math ace's dad stole those. My mom already came to my house and claimed my beet seeds so I know how you feel. She tried to take the green bush beans too. Thanks everyone, this was fun. Next year I'll have some really fun stuff to exchange.

When I opened my pepper pack it specified inside what kind of peppers they are, jalapeno, green peppers and red pepper. I can't remember if there was a forth.

Good to know - - I didn't get a chance to open them ( I am working on hiding them !

I think there were just the 3. Math ace I know it has to be a burden sometimes, but I'm glad you can see the lighter side of it. My grandfather had something very similar to alzheimers and did stuff sometimes that made you want to cry but you just had to laugh at. He hated for the cat to be in the house. He always pushed the cat out the back door with his foot. This time it didn't matter that my cousin, who was 3 or 4, was holding it and threw them both out!

I hope you find your seeds

Still freezing here at night and a bit of early morning frost, so I will be waiting to plant until the middle of april or so.

I may sow a few peas directly outside, but that's about all i can do for now. Perhaps some radishes or something like that and my indoor herb garden seeds.

What's the ammount of days for the pumpkings?

I'll have to start them now then to beat the early fall frost with plenty of time for wiggle room.

I'm pretty far from my seed packets right now. About 3,000 miles to be exact. I'm in Baltimore now and will be getting up at 3 in the morning to catch my flight and head home to Oregon.
