Hey BYC family!
My newest flock members are about 2 months old. I've been noticing they have been wondering around with their eye(s) closed frequently. Tonight the dark one has both eyes shut just sitting on the perch. After I investigated she opened them both but closed them again. I am worried it might be Coccidia related. I've never had an outbreak but lost a couple chicks about a month ago, one a few weeks old and another a few months old to what I suspect was Coccidia. I treated with Corid since losing them but not sure if I should treat them again since these babies are still acting strange. They are not lethargic or sleeping, they do this walking around the yard. Is this a symptom/sign of Coccidia or other illness? My chickens mostly hang out in their "chick cliques" and don't bother each other. These two are the smallest and are always together. I hate to keep treating them unnecessarily if this isn't the problem. I don't know how much Corid is too much. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tiffany
