Sorry for your losses. Have you considered putting them behind poultry netting controlled by a powerful charger? I haven't lost a single bird to ground predators in over 7 years since installing my fence.
 
Welcome to BYC family and community. We're all so glad you made the best choice to join us. So sad you lost your birds to any predator. I have lost birds too. It really hurts and it sucks however we continue to move forward. Losing any animal hurts but I know that we will continue our best. Right now I am going through a problem of either sour crop or crop stasis, add the fact that she's my favorite hen and I am beside myself with it. She's inside the house now and doing better than I thought she would be. I hope you find as much information and friends here as I have.
