In the Brooder
Thought it was about time I join considering every time I Google a question about my chickens, I end up here anyway!
I'm a new homesteader and chicken-turkey-duck owner. My 8 hens are varied breeds and I am rolling in eggs-- finally! I have 9 turkey poults that I hatched a month ago and I'm shaking in my coop shoes about harvesting them this fall because I've fallen madly in love with them! Add to that drama my 7 baby call ducks and I'm pretty much tarred in bird poop 24/7. Yet I love this life it took me nearly 50 years to achieve-- a dream come true.
I have learned everything from you folks and a podcast called Online Chicken School produced by Dave and Suzy in Florida. I thanked them for guiding me through my first year with chickens and I'd like to thank all of you as well.
THANK YOU for your mentorship and humor, but most of all for your devotion to these feathered little gifts of God that feed us, amuse us and unite us.
May your coops runneth over!
