Clucking in Sunnyside

Hi everyone! I've been prowling ann getting information off this  site for quite a while, so I thought I ought to join and introduce myself.

(1)  Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

Kind of, family has been into farming in some way from the 1600's.. Everyone had them in our family.. Grandparents and great grandparent ... Great grandparents ect..

I got my first chickens about a year ago, so I still consider myself a newbie.
Newbie..


(2)  How many chickens do you have right now?
10, mostly babies from the last hatch, 3 hens that will be laying soon..

13 in the Coop, 11 in the brooder, and a chirpy egg in the Bator.
Hatch due on February 11,, I mom raising 5, 1 rooster, 3 hens..




3)  What breeds do you have?
Barred rock, ameraucauna, silver duckwing, red Pyle, black brested red, silky, showgirl, naked neck, silver laced wyandotte, and a mystery mix in the egg. :)


Biefielder, isbar, silkie, jungle fowl, W.A.
(4)  How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? Bing search.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I breed and train quarter horses.

It sounds like you have a nice flock with a good variety of breeds! I hope that "Chirpy" hatches.

It hatched today! Cute little black chick! Already pecking at food and water too! Now the challenge of trying to figure out who the parents are... :)
