I bought 4 baby chickens about 6 weeks ago, two ameraucanas, one black sex link, and one columbian wyandotte. My four kids each picked one and named it. We are having so much fun with them. I built a chicken coop from scratch, and they are now living in it, but in the garage with the brooding lamp still. I also built them a run and I take them out to play when the weather is nice. I'm so anxious and stressed to find out if the three are girls or boys (we already know the sex link). I posted pictures on another thread and I'm hoping someone can tell me!

Hi and
welcome-byc.gif
- glad that you have joined us. I agree with Sourland, that a couple more weeks can make a lot of difference to helping with gender ID, but maybe the gender gurus have already helped you out, which would be great.

You'll find lots of info in the Learning Centre (even if you have lots of experience)
https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center, and if you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread

All the best

If you posted on the "what breed or gender is this," thread you will get answers - even if just to tell you to please wait a couple weeks take new ones, if the chicks are too young.

They get a lot of queries, so can't get to everyone in a flash - it can take a day or so.
