Coca~Cola???... will it kill my chicks?

I'm going to try coke as a rat poison ( i hate that word).. the only thing I know of that won't harm my dogs if they find the carcasses..

but if I set it out in the coop.. where the colony of rats live.. will the same thing happen to my chickens...????

They say that the coke distends the bellies of the rats.. thus, eventually leaving them to perish.. but don't want the same future for my chicks!!

I dont think that will work. I have heard of people doing that and it didnt work. Mice cant burp so it eventually kills them but it would take a bunch of fresh soda to do that.

I don't know your complete situation but I wouldn't poison rats for the simple fact that they will go off and die somewhere and it might not be the best place. You might try traps. Good Luck.
