I have read the symptoms for Cocci and CRS and I think it may be possible that my 3 hens may have both of these. Is there one med. that I can use to treat both of these things or will I have to use 2 different things?

Thanks for trying to BUMP my post Countryboy, but I don't think it's helping!!!

You can use Corid or Sulmet for Cocci, I'm not sure about CRS (don't know what this stands for either). I believe if they are laying you are better off with Corid.

Maybe tonight dlhunicorn will catch this.

CRS = Chronical Respratrory Diesease. The one hen keeps opening her mouth really wide, like she's dry heaving, and she sneezes and shakes her head alot.
I looks as if I'll have to treat these w/two different meds, I guess.

please describe color of droppings.

please describe all symptoms in detail.

(btw..it's CRD not CRS)

what is the med?

gapeworm is often confused with respiratory illness. What makes you think your hens have cocci...? Cocci usually presents in young poultry but adults (living in the same place since juvenile) will usually have built an immunity... is there blood in the poo? Is this what has you convinced it is cocci? Blood in the poo (outside a sever enteral problem) can also be caused by cappillaria worms...
