Not sure what to do with my three week old Barnevelder. Very lethargic, sitting with eyes closed. Will drink but not eat. This is the second day. I had one other in the flock exhibiting similar symptoms, started on corid yesterday and that one has perked up but this one has not. Brooder is clean and dry, with clean water. What can I do to help her? Thank you.

Should I try to give her some undiluted Corid? If so how much should she have?

Toltrazuriil 5% Oral suspension for coccidiosis when you see puffiness in chicks or chickens give this straight orally if its not to late you will see immediate improvement.

This is the recommended dosage:

*6 to 25 mg/kg PO QD; repeat after 5 days, or administered in drinking water for 2 days at 0.0125 g/L.*

However I do not know what PO QD means someone shared this with me when my 6 week old chick became sick with Cocci and passed.

I’ve never heard of that Med but it sounds like it has the same purpose as Corid ( amprolium). I was just reading through some older threads and someone recommended making a mash with their chick starter and the corid water. Trying that now and she is actually eating a little bit. Hope this is a good sign!! Thank you!

Hey could use some advice, just had a 10 day old chick pass with no sign of any problem before. Should I go ahead and treat the rest for Coccidiosis? I have raised many flocks and this has never happened. I’m baffled. Please help. Do I just ask for Corid? Is that what I put in the water?
