Thank you all for the advice! Pleased to report the treatment has worked. Coco is back to her old self - curious chief hen (hence the blurry photo). Her feathers have grown back, and she's laid the odd egg or two since the treatment, but very much enjoying retirement. I know that ascites may come back, but it's such a relief to see her bounce back after being so poorly.
