well im about 90 % sure my hen has cocci by looking at the cocci poo pictures and the way she is acting. ive hear that powderd milk and yogurt is a good home remedy for that. has any one used this?

I used very good quality yogurt and whichever hen has it, still has it. Not sure why it didn't work-lots recommend it.

THere are old remedies that mainly use raw goat's milk. I have used powdered milk in the starter as well as yogurt and buttermilk when the cocci meds did not seem to be working. Stil, if you get some Corid (concentrated Amprolium), that should work, as long as it is in fact cocci. It's not an antibiotic so wont be hard on her system.

They will drink it like water, but I mix it in with feed. Milk works becouse it coats the gut to help heal the soars the cocci make. its all I use

Daily when I see the signs, I make some oatmeal or use their starter in a pan with the milk product. On a limited basis, I have added powdered nonfat milk to the starter crumble, about 1/3 milk to 2/3 starter.
Here's a good article on cocci, if you haven't seen it.
