Coccidiosis in 8 Week Old

Just found out today that one of my 8 week olds has Coccidiosis. I could tell that she'd been fighting something off for a while, so I put vinegar in the water and gave her yogurt everyday or every other day, and she seemed to be recovering. Then, today, I found blood in her poop.

I have Sulmet on hand, so I think I'll start with that, but should I eliminate vinegar completely from their drinking water when using the Sulmet?

She's eating and drinking fine as far as I can tell, just a bit lethargic, so hopefully I've caught it early enough, but should I separate her? Or just treat all the chicks living with her as a preventative?

I've never had to deal with this before, so be patient with me

I would treat everyone. She may be the only one symptomatic, but since they've probably all been exposed to the same things, i would treat the whole flock.

I don't really know about whether to eliminate the vinegar. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

Sulmet may or may not work because it is not effective against one of the main types of cocci. Corid would be much better--it's the only thing that knocked out cocci here in one round. Sulmet makes the intestines bleed longer and is harder on the system. Corid is a liquid concentrated Amprolium. I put 9 cc in a gallon waterer once a day for 7 days and it fixed the issue. Same age birds as yours or slightly younger.

And yes, treat them all.

Many of my birds get cocci at around 5 to 7 weeks. Blood in the
poop is a sign they are infected but not that they are in danger
or getting sicker. I've only lost around 10 birds out of hundreds
and I do not treat or feed medicated feed. The strain of cocci I
have here is very weak and other than bloody poop does nothing
more.

I tried to find the Corid locally, but I couldn't find it within a reasonable distance.

So I guess I will have to treat it with what I have until I can get it online, but probably will only use the Sulmet if the chick looks like she's going downhill.

The one with the bloody poo is still running around with her buddies today and munching on whatever she can get her beak on, so hopefully it's a mild strain. Is there anything else I can do for her? I've been giving her yogurt and ACV, and cracking down even more on the cleanliness of her coop.

Some would be screaming at you to isolate, even at this late in the game.
My opinion is they probably all have it but are developing immunities.
I COULD BE WRONG.

It sounds like you are doing all you can do. A little yogurt won't hurt.
Just have Amprolium or Sulmet on hand in case you start having losses.

Only one out of six feedstores here carries Corid. I guess you can order it from one, though. Or from First State Vet Supply, Jeffers Livestock or Cutler Supply--not sure which one has it.
