Calling All Rabbit Nutters

Okay, so... Yes, I still think it's just moulting. Some rabbits can go practically bald from it. Friend of mine had a doe do just that. If there are no underlying problems, I say leave it be.

I agree that you should be letting them figure things out between themselves unless blood *is* drawn and it gets seriously vicious.

Try the nettle tea for your mom, or if she can take it some sort of antihistamine an hour before bunny time. I'm actually allergic to cats, and have three. I've just gotten 'immune' to them particularly because they're around me all the time. Other cats, my eyes start tearing and reddening, I get the sniffles, etc.

The back of the neck is where their hair can be the sparsest to begin with so if she's one of those rabbits who moult kinda hard you'd probably notice it the most on her neck. As for mites they are not visible like fleas or something, the most you might notice is some white skin flakes or skin irritation, but overall whenever my rabbits had mites they looked completely fine except for missing fur. I'd just keep an eye on it, I've had plenty of rabbits randomly lose some fur in a spot and it usually doesn't turn out to be a problem, their fur is made to come loose pretty easily so it wouldn't take much for a chunk to be missing. If you notice the other rabbit losing fur or your rabbit keeps losing patches of fur then I'd treat for mites.

Yeah, Gus-Gus will have times where he loses the fur on the back of the neck and it always grows back. Of course I do have to trim any hair mats there too. And his butt. He’s a high-maintenance bunny.

He's so cute!!!
I love the floofy bunnies so much but there's no way I could maintain one😭
Maybe someday when I'm not competing I'll just have a couple angoras and spin some wool from them.

They're kinda hard to see but I have two lil nuggets in there

I'm not digging them out or touching them for a minute because the mom is a little more sensitive than your average rabbit. I can already tell they're fat tho😆
It's taken me two years to get this "proven" doe to breed or have viable babies.

My doe is really aggressive whenever I try to peek in on her kits. Her 2nd brood just started opening their eyes. I unintentionally woke them up while checking on them this weekend. Two crawled out of the nest. As I was trying to catch them to put them back, mom kept trying to attack me. I had to pick her up and carry her like a football while I captured her little escape artists. 😂

Wow what a turd😂
I have one rabbit who boxes and bites me under normal circumstances but my goodness when there's a baby involved she'd light the world on fire just to make sure she got me, and she usually doesn't want her babies so she's really just in my barn for the entertainment. Also she's two pounds soaking wet.
