Coccidiosis in baby chicks? Help!

What is the temp in your brooder?
Too hot can cause these symptoms too.

I'd say trash the red lamp and get a regular 60 watt light bulb.

You could have gotten some not so healthy eggs too. I've run across quite a few threads on here recently about silkie chicks (hatched from shipped eggs) having curled toes. Did the toes straighten out?
Or did you have to help them with a "chick shoe"?

They straighten out after the episode. They weren't born that way. Once the episode passes they're totally fine.

Vitamin E deficiency:
Chick is unable to walk, falls on its side, or stands with head
between its legs; head may also twist sideways or over the back

Vitamin B1 deficiency: Chick can’t stand and draws its head back into a
star-gazing position

Making sure they have enough room will usually prevent them from pecking each other.
