My friends' chickens (where Moone and Tyto are being kept) have either Coccidiosis or they are dehydrated.

The infected chicks have bloody poop, and are huddling together like they are cold. The feathers are all ruffled up, too.

We got some medication for Coccidiosis, but do you think that it would be bad to give it to them if they don't have the disease?

Moone (my avatar/pic) had it, but now she is doing alot better. She looks all perky, and she has been eating and drinking. Her sister, Aphrodite, and a white frizzle have it the worst. They are both always huddling together, but don't have bloody poop, and drink LOTS of water. Do you think they are dehydrated?

i dont know about the dehydration but mine drank ALOT when i first found out they had it. but mine had the BAD watery poop. they all huddeled and stood together to like they were cold. 3 of them are doing alot better one is still mending. we are just one day 2 and half of the corid. lucy the one that has the worst case just did alot of standing yesterday and today wanted to lay but she seems more perky tonight. maybethis will be gone SOON!

All of the chickens are doing fine! Only one died (adorable Polish with it's crest falling to one side) from unknown causes. It was just found dead! :(

Everyone else is doing ok!
