From what I've read, no amount of intestinal lining being shed is normal. When it sheds itself, something is wrong, whether it be worms, Coccidia, Enteritis or E.coli infection, even yeast infections can cause intestinal shedding, especially the Mega Bacteria which is not really a bacteria at all but a type of very difficult to treat gastric yeast. Gastric yeasts always start out with intestinal shedding.
@Svaness that looks just like Coccidiosis to me. When my birds poop have what looks like chunks of bloody tissue, I treat them with Corid.
