Please help!!
This morning I checked on my 12 chicks and I realized that there was a few poops in their brooder that had some red in it. I'm suspecting it's blood.
I'm not sure if it's coming from one chick, some, or all of the chicks, but their are several poops with blood in it. The whole poop doesn't consist of just blood, but it does have a red tinge. The chicks have never been outside. The feeder and waterer were cleaned before they were filled up with feed and water.
Their diet consists of crumble, mash, and of course water with a sprinkle of electrolytes added into it, so nothing that would make their poop red.
They are acting completely normal, eating, zooming around, and sleeping. I hatched these chicks myself so I don't know where they would have got it from.
I have never had this problem before with any of my previous batches of chicks, let alone adult chickens.....
Is this coccidiosis?

What should I do? What should I give them? How did they get it?
Is it okay that I held a chick this morning?
Thanks so much!

UPDATE:
Chicks have been having watery, "bubbly" poop. I just dissected another poop and it had chunks of red stuff in it. They might not be acting weak or anything because I caught it early.

Please help!!!!!😢

Sorry I don't know what the exact problem is, but it can't hurt to give them Safeguard Aquasol (anti-parasite). You can get 5ml on eBay for about $20, which is double the quantity needed for a 5-day treatment.

Thank you so much for replying.
The chicks are completely healthy now, I was probably wrong about the coccidiosis diagnosis because they would be dead by now if it was that.
I will bookmark this thread for future reference.
Thanks again!

That's great to hear. Did you give them any medicine or change anything with food to make them better?
