Coccidiosis? (Pictures attached)

We had suspected coccidiosis 2 weeks ago (treated with Corid for 7 days).

Now, I found this in their poop this morning. Is this coccidiosis? They are about 10 weeks old.

What dosage did you use? I would be tempted to retreat them all for 7 more days.

1 tsp per gallon of water (I have the powder). I will start another treatment today.

nobody is acting weird, so hopefully I caught it early (I've been watching closely since we lost 2 chickens last time).

The maximum dose is 1.5 tsp per gallon, so I would put a little more in your water. For the sick grey pullet, also try to give her a drench by mixing 1.5 tsp in 2 tsp of water, and giving her 1/5 ml once or twice a day orally. That will give a boost in addition to drinking the water. If she doesn’t seem to drink, then give the Corid water orally. Sometimes people see a resistant strain of coccidia, and a sulfa antibiotic may be be a better treatment. Sulfadimethoxine is available from a vet or sometimes from pigeon suppliers online.

Ok I have done what you suggested. I started with the Corid again Monday, and today I’m still seeing blood in some poops. (Not all the chickens are popping blood, but more than the original gray one) Should I be concerned or is it still an “acceptable” timeframe to be seeing that still?

All the chickens seem to be eating, drinking and pecking around. It’s 90* today, so they’re definitely hot, but not acting sick.

Unfortunately I found this spot (picture attached) in the coop this morning. I put all fresh bedding in last night, so I know that it happened over night. Of course I don’t know which chicken it is from.

Also, how do I prevent them from continually being re-infected in the coop/run? I cleaned the bedding out of the coop, but I’d have to get a power washer to actually get every last spot (if that were even possible), and their run is new so it’s mostly grass and I wouldn’t really get much out.

We had chickens a few years back and used sand in their run and coop. We never had coccidiosis. I’m not sure if that was just luck or if the sand helped?
