coccidiosis questions

Ok, so mine are recovering now from coccidiosis, and I'm wondering, how long do they need to be seperate from other, unconaminated chicks and chickens. Also, how far do they need to be from other chickens to prevent contamination?

I think that you should have treated the whole flock. I could be wrong, but i believe i've read that most people don't separate, since it isn't a contagious disease. They treat the whole flock, since they're all exposed to the same dirt.

You really shouldn't separate them and if a couple have it, they probably all will. It is not contagious like a disease. If one has it, treat them all. They get the oocycsts from the soil and spread it through their poop.

I guess I wasn't clear...I didnt "seperate" them, they were in a seperate brooder and had not yet been introduced to my flock.
